Top 5 Yoga Poses for Curing Migraine
Migraine is a neurological disorder that is very common these days and is basically severe headache. There can be some very serious migraine attacks that can continue for few hours, few days, or also for few weeks. The attack is all about very serious headache that can also lead to drowsiness, fatigue, and vomiting. It is a curable disease that can be cured through medicines and also it can be cured through yoga asanas. Here are some of the yoga asanas that can help you in curing the migraine issues.
- Padmasana – Quarter Lotus Pose
It is a meditative posture that reduces stress and relaxes the mind. This in return reduces headache. Try sitting in this position for a considerable amount of time and settle your mind without it wandering.
Process – Sit on the ground in an upright position but with a relaxed body and mind. Try not to think anything. Fold your legs in a manner that your right leg is on the left calf and left leg is on the right calf. Place both your hands on your knees in anjali mudra. Now, hold the position as long as you can. Take and release deep breaths.
- Adho Mukha Svanasana – Downward facing dog Pose

Process – Stand straight with the legs apart, tilt a bit forward, and bend down with resting the palm on the ground and the touch the ground with your head.
- Uttanasana – (Standing forward Pose)

- Setu Bandhasana – Bridge Pose

Process – Lie down simply on the ground with hands on sides of your body and lift your knee up. Your feet should be below as in the picture. Lift up your hips and entire spinal area with keeping the balance on the arms and feet. Repeat it for 10 times to begin with.
- Balasana – Child’s Pose
The easiest pose of them all! The resting pose treats in removing stress from the mind. You will feel a different kind of rush in the head which is so relaxing while doing this pose. Stress and fatigue are reduced from this yoga pose that also reduces migraine. Hold on the stretched pose for 3 seconds and then get back to doing it again.
Process – As the name says, this pose helps you to relax your mind just like a child’s. It releases positive endorphins in your brain. It is a very soothing pose for the adrenals. It is as soothing as taking a bubble bath.
